How the Fantasy Football Scoring Calculator Works
Calculates total fantasy football points from a player's raw stat line, using the scoring conventions published and used by default on major fantasy platforms (ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper): 1 point per 25 passing yards, 4 points per passing touchdown, 1 point per 10 rushing or receiving yards, 6 points per rushing or receiving touchdown, and −2 points per interception thrown or fumble lost. Reception (PPR) scoring is selectable since platforms vary here — Standard awards 0 points per reception, Half-PPR awards 0.5, and Full-PPR awards 1.
Formula
Points = (PassYds/25) + (PassTD×4) + (RushYds/10) + (RushTD×6) + (RecYds/10) + (RecTD×6) + (Receptions×PPR) − (INT×2) − (FumblesLost×2)
PPR = 0 for Standard, 0.5 for Half-PPR, 1 for Full-PPR. All other point values are the widely-used default scoring settings shared across ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper-style leagues — always confirm against your own league's custom settings since commissioners can change any of these.
Calculation Example
Half-PPR: 250 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 40 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 5 receptions, 60 receiving yards → (250/25) + (2×4) + (40/10) + (1×6) + (5×0.5) + (60/10) = 10 + 8 + 4 + 6 + 2.5 + 6 = 36.5 points.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I get a different score than my league shows?
Every fantasy league commissioner can customize scoring settings (e.g. 6-point passing TDs, different PPR values, bonus thresholds). This tool uses the common default settings shared by ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper out of the box — check your league's actual scoring settings if the numbers don't match.
What's the difference between Standard, Half-PPR, and Full-PPR?
They differ only in how many points a reception itself is worth: 0 in Standard, 0.5 in Half-PPR, and 1 in Full-PPR. Yardage and touchdown scoring is identical across all three.
